When it comes to technology, the La Crosse Public Library is constantly scanning the environment and strives to be responsive to community needs. We are looking for a management team member who understands that a public library’s relevance, in large part, is tied to its ability to be technologically forward thinking and flexible, and who is able to support and defend the need for a more open tech environment while maintaining customer confidentiality and ensuring network security. While books may still be the warm and fuzzy brand for libraries, technology is the core of our business and the root of all access for our users. In addition to your fantastic skills, it is essential that you bring a passion for ensuring access, and an understanding of the interconnectedness of technology with any product or service we offer or might consider launching. We also require a team member who demonstrably values open, clear and collegial communication.
