ALA Emerging Leaders with SLIS Degrees

Campus Photo

This list keeps growing! Congratulations to all of the SLIS graduates who have been chosen as ALA (American Library Association) Emerging Leaders. This "leadership development program enables newer library workers from across the country to participate in problem-solving work groups, network with peers, gain an inside look into ALA structure, and have an opportunity to serve the profession in an leadership capacity." [ALA website]

Help us identify all of the SLIS alumni who have received this honor. Email us if you know of other names: (slisnews@indiana.edu).

Professional association connections offer opportunities for lifelong learning. Current students can participate in SLIS student chapters of professional associations (including ALA). The ALA-student chapter recently won runner-up for the National Chapter of the Year.
