Students were recognized for their hard work during the Luddy Student Send Off.
The Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering Office of Diversity and Inclusion and the Luddy Student Government celebrated the end of the spring semester with the Luddy Student Send Off April 30.
The event recognized all students but put a special emphasis on graduating students, who were given a commemorative Luddy drinking glass, a t-shirt, and more. Each graduating student also was given the opportunity write their name and degree information on a puzzle piece which will be incorporated in a display.
“LODI encouraged every student to realize they hold a special piece of the puzzle in making a beautiful Luddy masterpiece which is diverse and inclusive,” said Lamara Warren, the assistant dean for diversity and inclusion at Luddy. “There’s a quote that says, ‘We’re all pieces of the big puzzle. Just be the piece you are so you’re doing your part to complete the picture.’ The graduating students have helped the Luddy School put together the pieces to complete our 2021 picture.”
The Luddy School will honor its Class of 2021 during its Virtual Student Recognition Celebration May 6. For more pictures of the Luddy Student Send Off, visit our Facebook page.
